Maura and Micheal met in Villa Waldberta (Bavaria), not having seen each other for over two years, from the time they both were living in Berlin.
Realising that Maura started a new solo project called Owl Hill, and that Michael had brought out an album called Owl songs, they wished to meet again.
Improvising together was a perfect way to share each other's current thoughts and experiences about life, sounds and live performance. Recordings took place in Villa Waldberta, an Artist residency funded by the city of Munich, and in Chatillon, in the heart of the Swiss Mountains, under the oldest european Oak tree.
Villa Waldberta, as well as the Old tree are both very quiet and peacefull places, but embody a strong feel of history as well. They inspired this curious weaving of sounds, winds, voices, flutes and piano... Daydreams, calls, prayers to the tree, or given from the tree.
